Little Acorns

Primary Community (Ages 3-6)
Tuition Rate $950 monthly

Children in our Little Acorns classroom have mastered toileting and are developing self-dressing skills. Their vivid imaginations and emerging cooperative play are supported through enriched activities such as extended circle times for singing, reading, and discussions. Teachers facilitate peer interactions and conflict resolution, while opportunities for scribbling and drawing bridge students from reading readiness to reading and writing. Students also participate in practical life activities including setting the table, preparing snacks, washing dishes, folding napkins, sweeping, and pouring water.

Child-Centered Learning

Classrooms are designed to be child-centered, with accessible low shelves for Montessori materials. Unlike traditional settings, children actively engage in their learning, guided by teachers who facilitate activities at small tables or rugs.

Outdoor Work and Play

Children benefit from daily outdoor activities in backyard gardens, and fields. They engage in collaborative, unstructured play, gardening, picnic lunches, and nature walks, nurturing a lifelong love and respect for nature.

Three Year Cycle

The Primary program follows a three-year cycle, culminating in a "kindergarten year." This continuity allows children to build upon their experiences, preparing them for the Elementary program.

Cost of attendance:

$950 per month

To begin the enrollment process:

Step 1: Inquiry and Schedule a Tour -  Please send an inquiry with your interest to hello@cosmicrootsgeorgetown.org. or fill out the form here: Interest Form | Connect with Us Today — Cosmic Roots

Our classes in Primary, Lower, and Upper Elementary are currently full for the 25-26 Academic Year, but we are accepting applications for waitlist.

Step 2: Attend a Tour
During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about our curriculum and daily rhythm

  • Ask any questions

  • Discuss how our programs can benefit your child

This conversation helps us ensure that Cosmic Roots is the right fit for your family.

Step 3: Trial Day
If we determine that Cosmic Roots is a good fit, we will schedule a trial day for your student(s). This is typically a 3–4 hour drop-off, allowing them to experience the classroom environment while our guides observe how they integrate into the community. Since school is currently not in session,  joining a summer camp week might be the best way to get a full trial.

Step 4: Enrollment
To secure a spot, you will receive an email with instructions to:

  • Set up a profile on ProCare, our school management system, where you can manage payments, forms, and access the Family Handbook

  • Complete the application and enrollment paperwork

  • Submit the application fee, enrollment fee, and tuition deposit
