Continuing the Blended Approach
As students enter adolescence, the learning environment adapts to meet their evolving needs. Emphasizing self-expression, entrepreneurship, and programs that explore economic systems, the curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning, with computer use introduced to teach essential skills such as keyboard layout, typing, and using Word and Excel. These foundational skills support math concepts and lay the groundwork for finance and entrepreneurship education, ensuring students are well-prepared for the future.
-
Holistic Development
The program supports academic growth alongside real-world experiences and creative self-expression, fostering an accepting community where students respect one another. By blending academic learning with practical application, students are prepared for both personal and academic challenges ahead.
-
Leadership and Independence
Students develop leadership skills and independence through group projects and community activities, nurturing their ability to work collaboratively and think critically. This holistic approach ensures that they emerge as confident, self-directed learners ready to make meaningful contributions to our community and society at large.
Part of this groups learning aims to teach understanding of economic activity within their community. This involves managing a small, student-run markets, providing practical experience in product creation, customer communication, and business management skills.
