Community and Educational Resources
We know many families are thinking about next steps in their child’s education. Below are helpful resources for educational options, funding, homeschool communities, co-ops, and support networks.
❋ Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA)
The Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program gives families more choice and flexibility in how they support their child’s education starting in the 2026–27 school year. Families accepted into TEFA may use funds for eligible educational expenses including tuition, tutoring, textbooks, online courses, homeschool support, and more.
Important TEFA Resources:
Official TEFA Portal – Apply & learn more: https://educationfreedom.texas.gov/
What TEFA Covers – Eligible expenses include private school tuition, instructional materials, tutoring, and approved programs.
Application Window: TEFA applications are open from Feb. 4–Mar. 17, 2026.
TEFA Parent Application Guide – Helpful checklist & timeline for families.
Applying does not guarantee funds but keeps options open regardless of future educational plans.
